The North American Yak Association is dedicated to promoting the health, welfare, and
sustainable management of yaks through education, scientific research, and community
support. We aim to advance responsible breeding practices, enhance economic viability of yaks,
and establish meaningful benchmarks for raising yaks in North America. By providing the
fundamentals of accurate data collection, fostering proper handling techniques, and addressing
regional challenges, we empower members to make informed decisions that improve the well-
being of their herds and the value of their breeding stock.

Through collaboration and practical resources, such as treatment protocols, hands-on training,
and tailored management strategies, NAYAK strives to support yak owners and attract new
enthusiasts. We are committed to creating a supportive community that emphasizes the
importance of pedigrees and cultivates markets that define the economic value of breeding
stock.

By integrating experience, science, and regional diversity, we serve as a reliable resource for
yak owners across North America, promoting positive human-animal interactions and ensuring
the long-term success of the yak industry.
